EducationBio-engineer Major at Oakland University
ExperienceI have been a tutor on and off for 6 years. In the beginning, I volunteered at my high school for the National Honor Society. Following that, my experiences include college tutoring in statistics and high school tutoring in math. Raised in a family of teachers, my favorite part of tutoring is seeing people succeed. Learning always has an element of frustration but succeeding in learning is a joy. I am a biological engineer, an all A student, top of my class, with a love of learning and teaching.
Every lesson and interaction has the potential to bring each student one step closer to achieving their goals. Learning is very unique to each individual. Ingraining knowledge isn't always as simple as repeating something until you remember it. Sometimes it’s about taking knowledge and presenting it in a novel way to trigger understanding instead of just memorizing.
Math is something I have always been good at but I have a firm appreciation for the challenges you might have. As a bio-engineer, acquiring an engineering degree taught me many different ways of looking at numbers and making relationships with them. Being able to teach the relationships of numbers makes working with them much easier.
If you need help with a class or some of the material I would be more than happy to help.
HobbiesHobbies: Weight lifting, Gardening, looking up the latest news on health related subjects etc...
